Monday 25 July - Scandinavian Masters, Stockholm
After trying to qualify for the Open Championship ( I missed
by 5 with a pair of doubles on the same hole each day!) I
returned to Sweden to spend time with my family. The summer
here has been fantastic and I have been enjoying the weather
and also practicing. This week sees the Scandinavian Masters
at Kungsangen Golf Club, just outside of our capital, Stockholm.
I have been given an invite to play in my national championship
and am excited about playing. I know the course well and it
will be great to be surrounded by the enthusiatic Swedish
crowd. I will keep you posted each day. You can also check
the live scoring on www.europeantour.com. Catch up later,

Thursday 28 July - Scandinavian Masters, Kungsangen,
Stockholm - 66 (-5)
A terrific day out at Kungsangen in front of my home crowd.
The Swedish crowd is both knowledgable and enthusiastic and
this really makes it great fun to play in front of. My putter
was solid today and I made a few good putts in my 66. With
only 1 bogey on the 12th and 6 birdies on 5 and 6, 9 and 10
and 15 and 17, it was a day to remember. I played all 3 par
5s in birdie and would sure like to keep that record going
for the week. I need now to keep it going and put myself in
a good position for the weekends play. I had many family and
friends out watching and a big thanks to all of them for coming
out. I am out late on Friday, so hopefully I can have a sleep
in after my early start this morning. For those of you in
the US you will be able to watch the Scan Masters, as everyone
calls it on The Golf Channel in the mornings over the next
3 days. Thanks for all the emails of support. I appreciate
them all, Per
Friday 29 July - Scandinavian Masters, Kungsangen,
Stockholm - 70 (-1)
After all the rain that they have had in Stockholm it was
another great weather day. My golf wasn't quite as good and
I recovered well from a bogey and double around the turn to
shoot 70. I actually finisehd with a pair of birdies to move
off the cut line and finished at -6 for the event. The course
has been reduced in length because of the weather so the scoring
is much lower than is normal at this course. I am still in
the top 30 and in good shape for the weekend. A solid pair
couple of rounds should move me in to the top 10 - that's
the goal. The weather forecast is really bad tomorrow, so
we are teeing it up first thing in the morning. Early night
for me. Bye for now, Per
