December 2005
Thursday 1 December - Q School, Orlando, Fl, 72 (again!)
A disappointing day with another par 72, this time around
the Panther Lake course. I hit the ball in the water twice,
but recovered to make bogey on those holes and this score
has kept me in around about the same position I was after
day one. I need to start making a move as I am now 4 behind
the top 30 number. Catch up after my morning tee time, back
on Panther tomorrow, per
Monday 5 December - Q School, Orlando - Q School,
72, 73, 78, 70
I am at home now after a very disappointing 8 days in Orlando.
You can see from the scores above that I didn't get going
this week and ended up finishing down the field at +5. This
will give me conditional status on the Nationwide Tour. I
will have some time now to think about 2006 and see where
is the best place for me to play. That may include the Nationwide
and possibly some events in Europe. You can see that the 5th
round really put an end to my hopes. After starting with 2
birdies I made a triple on the par 3 and then a 10 on the
par 5. Both of these were on the front nine! Putting 4 balls
in the water doesn't do much for your confidence, but I stayed
out there and kept trying. I was proud of shooting 70 in the
final round on the toughest weather day we had, even though
I wasn't playing for too much. In golf you have to keep going
and keep trying! I'll keep you posted with my plans - In the
meanwhile, thanks for the emails of support and have a Merry
Christmas, Per
