December 2004
Thursday 2 December - Q School, La Quinta, California, 73,
69
After an average first round on the Jack Nicklaus
course of one over 73, I was down the field outside of the
top 100. I really didn't play too well, but a couple of birdies
at the end of my round salvaged a score. On the more difficult
Stadium Course today, my game was solid and a score of 69
moved me up in to the top 50. The field of 190 players is
playing for 30 precious PGA TOUR cards this week and with
a four round cut it is important to be in a good position
going into the last 2 days. I need to maintain my steady play
and hopefully throw in there one great score. I'm sure trying
hard! and trying to remember this a marathon, not a sprint.

Monday 6 December - Q School, La Quinta, California,
73, 69, 70, 73, 70, 74
I am on the way home after a disappointing day. I was on the
more difficult Stadium Course and shot 74 on a day I needed
to shoot in the 60s to make my card. In truth I really didn't
play too well during the entire week and struggled to find
my swing, despite spending many hours on the range. I finished
at -3 for the week and the number for the top 30 and ties
was -7. I now have time to reflect on what 2005 will look
like. I still have 8 events remaining from my medical extension
and can keep my card by playing well through those events.
I am writing for some invitations and hope to play a number
of early season events on the west coast. I wish you all the
best for the holiday season and thank you for the support
through this tough year. I will keep you posted with the latest
news and how my schedule looks in the coming weeks. Bye for
now, Per
