November 2003

Monday 3 November – West Palm Beach
As you can imagine it wasn’t such a fun weekend, thinking about the missed cut and at the end of the day that was all it took to drop the crucial one spot down to 126th on the Money List. This now leaves me with a number of options and I need to look on them as positively as possible. I can go back to TOUR school and improve my TOUR status, I can work hard with Nick on getting invitations to as many events as possible or I can play on my new status, which I am told will get me into about 12 to 15 events. It’s still a little too early to make that decision and I will keep you posted. Professional golf is a tough game and the standard of play is so high on TOUR these days. I know I can play at this level and will be re-doubling my efforts to play where I want to play. Thanks for all your messages of support. It has helped knowing how many of you care out there. It’s not the end of the world – now the hard work starts and I will stay positive over the coming weeks and decide the best course of action to maximize my chances of playing TOUR events next year. Catch up soon, Per. There’s a new competition posted today – have a go!

Tuesday 18 November - West Palm Beach
Firstly, let me thank you all for the emails of support I have received over the last couple of weeks. It has been overwhelming to have so many in my inbox. I really appreciate you all taking the time to give me your thoughts. Well, a couple of weeks have passed since the end of the season and my position for 2004 looks a lot better than it did after that last missed cut. It looks like I will be in about 15-18 events and we will also ask for a some invitations for events that I may not get into through ranking. I have made the decision to go to TOUR School to try and improve my position and I will be posting a full diary from Orange County National in Orlando in early December, so look out for that. I have been enjoying my time off with Jill and Stella and also had plenty of opportunity to play and practice. I will head up to Orlando prior to the School and check out the courses and see Lead for a tune up! This has been another record year for the site, so thank you all for coming to read my diaries and share the ups and downs of the year. We have a few hats in stock, so we are doing a special price, down by 25 % for the next 60 days, so if you are looking for a fun Holiday gift for a golfer then head to the P-UJ shop and check it out. Catch up soon, bye for now, Per
